FAQs
I’ve gathered answers to the most common questions I hear so you can feel clear, confident, and supported as you begin your Wholehearted House journey. If you don’t see what you’re looking for, I’m just a message away!
Section 1: Getting Started
-
The Wholehearted House is a great fit if you’re looking for thoughtful guidance and collaboration rather than a hands-off, done-for-you service. I walk alongside you to explore your space, your needs, and the feeling you want your home to hold. Together, we make design decisions that feel intentional and manageable, so you feel confident and connected to your home long after our work together.
-
If you’re unsure, no problem! Fill out my Client Inquiry Form, and I’ll personally help you choose the service that fits your needs and goals best.
-
Not at all. Many clients come to me feeling unsure or overwhelmed by choices, and that’s completely okay. Part of the process is helping you uncover your style through conversation, visual references, and gentle exploration. You don’t need all the answers, we’ll find them together.
-
Not exactly. My approach is collaborative and design-focused. I guide you through decorating and styled systems in a way that feels supportive, intentional, and aligned with how you live. In-home services may include hands-on styling support, while virtual services focus on clear plans and guidance you can confidently implement.
The goal isn’t perfection or a quick fix, it’s creating beautiful spaces that work for your everyday life and that you feel confident maintaining long after our time together.
-
Each session is tailored to your space, your needs, and the service you choose. Whether we’re working virtually or in home, you can expect thoughtful collaboration, clear direction, and a design-forward approach focused on beauty, function, and ease.
Sessions may include a walkthrough of your space, discussion of your goals and style, layout and flow recommendations, decor or styled system ideas, and real-time guidance.
After our concept build, you’ll receive a clear, personalized guide for your project that includes recommended products, layout and placement direction, and styling or setup guidance. I’ll remain available to collaborate as you implement the plan, with follow-up support to answer questions, make adjustments, and ensure everything comes together beautifully once your space is set up.
-
Once you submit your client inquiry, I’ll review your details and follow up with a welcome email to talk through next steps. From there, we’ll schedule a virtual consultation or, if you’re local, a coffee meetup to discuss your space, your goals, and the direction you’d like to take.
After our conversation, I’ll send a personalized overview outlining the recommended scope of work along with a custom invoice. Once everything is confirmed, we’ll begin working together, collaborating through each phase of the process and following up as your space comes together to ensure it feels beautiful, intentional, and fully aligned with your life.
-
Yes. Whether it’s a single room, a small space, or an everyday area like an entryway or pantry, we can absolutely begin by focusing on one area at a time. Many clients choose to start small to gain clarity and confidence, and even one well-designed space can make a meaningful impact on how your home feels.
From there, we can always expand the scope and build on the work together when you’re ready.
Section 2: Logistics
-
Virtual design offers the same thoughtful guidance and collaboration as in-home services, just from a distance. You’ll share photos, measurements, and videos of your space, and we’ll meet virtually to talk through your goals and ideas. You’ll receive clear plans, styling direction, and ongoing support as you bring everything together at your own pace. Virtual design is a great option if you’re outside my local area or prefer a more flexible approach.
-
No. My goal is to create beautiful, intentional spaces that work within your comfort level. We’ll talk openly about budget early on, and I’ll help you make thoughtful choices that bring the most impact without unnecessary spending.
-
Yes, and I love doing that. Many projects begin by reimagining what you already have. I’ll help you see new possibilities in your existing furniture and decor and guide you on where small additions or updates might enhance the overall look and feel of your space.
-
At this time, I don’t offer payment plans. Full payment is required at the time of booking to reserve your session.
-
Yes! I offer local in-home sessions along the Emerald Coast including Navarre, Gulf Breeze, Pensacola, Fort Walton Beach, Destin. Virtual options are also available no matter where you live.
-
Once we’ve completed our in-home visit or virtual meeting and I’ve gathered all necessary details, such as measurements, photos, and a clear understanding of your project scope. I’ll begin creating your Wholehearted House Concept Presentation.
Most concept presentations are delivered within 1–3 weeks, depending on the size and complexity of your project. Larger or full-home projects may take 4–5 weeks to ensure every detail is thoughtfully designed and aligned with your vision.
Throughout the process, I’ll stay in touch so you know exactly where we are and what to expect next.
-
Life happens, and I understand that plans can change. If you need to reschedule or cancel a scheduled consultation or in-home visit, please let me know as soon as possible by email. I kindly ask for at least 24 hours’ notice so we can adjust our schedules with care and respect for one another’s time.
If an invoice has already been issued or a project is underway, any changes will be handled on a case-by-case basis and clearly communicated so we can move forward in a way that feels fair and supportive.
-
Because each project is custom and thoughtfully created for your home, services are non-refundable once work has begun. That said, collaboration is at the heart of The Wholehearted House. After you receive your concept presentation, one round of revisions is included to ensure the direction feels aligned with your vision and goals.
When it comes to products and decor selections, you always have the final say on what is purchased and brought into your home. My role is to guide, recommend, and refine—but every decision ultimately rests with you so the finished space feels right, personal, and intentional.
Section 3: support and extras
-
That’s completely normal, and you’re not alone. When a home feels stuck, it’s often not about needing more things, it’s about needing clarity and direction.
We’ll start by talking through how your space feels, how you use it, and what you want it to support. From there, I’ll help you identify a clear path forward through thoughtful design and styled systems, focusing first on the areas that will make the biggest difference.
Together, we’ll take it one step at a time so your home begins to feel calm, intentional, and manageable again.
-
Yes, absolutely. You don’t need structural changes or permanent design updates to create a home that feels beautiful and personal. I specialize in thoughtful decorating and styled systems that work within the boundaries of your space, whether that’s a small home, an apartment, or a rental.
By focusing on layout, color, textures, lighting, and meaningful details, we can create a space that feels like an extension of you, without altering the structure of your home. The goal is always to make your space feel intentional, welcoming, and truly yours, no matter the size or setting.
-
This program is all about extending the life of your gently used items by passing them on to local families in need. You can request it at anytime during our time together.
Once requested, you’ll receive guidance on what items can be donated, and if you’re local, I’ll even arrange a pickup. It’s one of my favorite ways to connect with our community and help homes beyond your own.
-
Yes. Community and ongoing support are an important part of The Wholehearted House. I regularly share design tips, styling ideas, hosting inspiration, and glimpses of wholehearted living on Instagram, where you’ll find continued encouragement and practical ideas to apply in your own home.
I also host a private Facebook group, The Wholehearted House Family, which is a welcoming space for connection and inspiration. Inside the group, I share seasonal reads, favorite recipes, decor and styling ideas, and simple ways to bring more intention into everyday life.
For more personalized support, I offer Touch of Heart, a one-on-one virtual check-in designed for both new and past clients. This session is perfect for quick design guidance, help choosing decor, refining a styled system, or making small updates after a project is complete. Whether you need a single piece of advice or a thoughtful check-in, Touch of Heart offers continued clarity and support whenever you need it.
